robert pierce Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Hello, I wonder if someone could help me with this. For an WWII German infantryman who fought during the invasion of France in 1943, would there be a campaign medal awarded him for this invasion?Robert
Dave Danner Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Assuming you mean the 1940 invasion, if I remember correctly, there was a prototype for a campaign or victory medal, but the course of events meant it went nowhere.

I was thinking one thing and writing another. Thanks, so there was nothing given for this action in France other than personal awards, no campaign medal. Thank you Dave,Robert
