DDR Mining Badges

My find on the local flea market at the weekend.

In the second line are two rare badges of the German - Soviet Wismut AG which produced the nuclear material

for A-Bombs and atomic reactors.

In the first line is a minig badge and a sport badge.

My uncle worked in this mine in Aue and he became ill and died of lung cancer due to the radiation. He only worked two years there.

The mine was supervised by the soviet NKVD and all the Uranium went to the USSR.

Andreas, nice badges. They seem to be of very nice quality
