Danny70 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Hi All...Here's yet another unmarked EKII, There are a couple of things about this one that are making me wonder. Firstly, I would like to hear some of your opinions on it.It is in very good condition with a 'mirror-like' frame and quite a bit of frosting still visible on the beading. The (magnetic) core is almost perfect but with low relief swastika and dates. The 1813 date on the reverse seems to have some sort of 'double stamp'.Initially, I didn't like the 3's in the dates and thought I might have been 'Floched'... but now I'm not so sure...Any advice or comments are greatly appreciated!Regards - Danny

I like this kreuz.I like Schinkel.Thank you.
hankmeister Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Looks like it could be an L/11 or 23. If there's a little hump at the top of the frame where the ribbon ring attaches, it's probably the L/11. If not, then probably 23. I think there are examples of both of those posted here, have a quick look around and compare.Very nice cross.bestHank
Danny70 Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 Hi Naoki & Hank,Thanks for your replies and kind comments.Hank - Unfortunately, this one does not match my marked '23' (although the frame is very similar in appearance). Neither does it have the Deumer 'hump'. However, I do appreciate you taking the time to help with it's identification. Many thanks!Regards - Danny
antwhiplash Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Doesn't look like a Floch to me, the front looks superb, a nice cross.Ant.
