bigjarofwasps
Hi,Can anyone suggest anywhere were I might be able to confirm details, in relation to Civilian loses to air raids. I`m trying to find out more about a lady who was killed during one in Westerham in 1940. Her name was V T Beville (nee Russell). Any suggestions? Nick
I know that the Commonwealth War Graves Commission lists details of Civilian War Dead killed during air raids, but I am not sure how much info they have ?CWGC
John
I have had similar problems, researching anybody other than military. I have been informed that a lot of pre war and early war records , were 'pulped' because the wwii manufacturers needed it.
