unknown ring?

Are these letters Russian letters? Cyrillic? Possible a logo of two letters. Airforce unit ( see eagle on top)? Perhaps Baltic?

Any help is welcome.

It looks to me to be a version of the Hindu 'Aum' smbol.

Thanks for your reply. There is a resemblence. I bought the ring at a military show. The ring could be a private (perhaps military) made signet ring .

The ring is old and has a German silvermark 925.

Perhaps it?s meant as a lucky sign.
