Kev in Deva
Looking at the marks on the ribbon I suspect originaly many years ago it bore someInsignia, a "Linden Leaves" insignia I found on the net at: http://www.gwpda.org/medals/czechmedl/czech.html the following info:For a unit citation in an Army Order, a spray of linden leaves For a unit citation in a Divisional Order, a single linden leaf For an individual citation in an Army Order, a silver star For an individual citation in a Divisional Order a bronze star. Please feel free to offer opinions.Kevin in Deva. Edited April 17, 2007 by Kev in Deva

Jacky
Fabulous decoration!!The leaves are the most wonderfull mention in despatches sign I have seen! The british, french, belgian and norge's have a hard way to beat those leaves with their devices, which are quite crude compared to this one!Kevin, congrats with your purchase. GRA
Hello Kev!My Czech connection whispers in my ear that this is a commemorative pin of the Battle of Zborov, July 2nd, 1917.Big to the Czech, but not really in the same league as the Western Front battles. Try the link below!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Zborov_(1917)Greetings /GRA
