John R Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Is there any period provenance that the Juncker badge we see so often was actually made during the war? Typical examples below. I just have not seen it, but assume it must exist. Or, are we going strictly by quality of maufacture and reverse hinge, pin and catch arrangement?John
Guest Darrell Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 (edited) The one on the left is a KILLER !!! Kai Winkler had one for sale a while back that was Stamped Juncker on the reverse. EDIT ... here was that thread:http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/sho...cker+Marked+ACB Edited April 19, 2007 by Darrell
John R Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Yes, and I like the badge on the right too!!!!Anyway, doing a little more research, besides the upside down one sold by Kai, is this example.
Martin W Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 (edited) The badges posted below belong to Joe Slavick.Joe has written an excellent book,"The Cruise of the German Raider Atlantis"These badges IMO are all made by Juncker and they were given to Joe as gifts by Auxiliary Cruiser crewmen. The top badge was from an Atlantis crewman and he received the award on 12-31- 41.Regards,Martin.
