John
Guys, I have been offered a nice FJ Assman Badge, second type, with the 'A' on the rear and the '2' on the rear of the wreath, for ?225.00. Is it worth it, or not? Cheers John.
J Temple-West
Is it worth it, or not?John,Sounds like a good price, but what's the condition like? Having no pictures to go on...things to look out for:repairs, zinc pest, repainted eagle etc. See if the seller can supply those all important pictures. John
Thank s John. I've had it in my hands and it's a very nice piece. And the price seemed good, but I know nothing about the 'NO.2' example. Cheers, John

Cheers, JohnHello John, Here is a "No.2" example from my collection for your reference. If it matches up, and is in as good or better condition as this example, I would go for it.ERIC

J Temple-West
For reference, here is the last in the series of ?Assmann? badges (in zinc) to be produced by means of die striking using the same dies as used in the production of the bunt metal version.
