He was a Lieutenant-Colonel and an Army (Navy) neurosurgeon, as you can see from the uniform:He worked at the VMA (Vojnomedicinska akademija) in Belgrade. IN 1992 , if I remember well, he was sent to Knin, Croatia, where the first fights between the Croats and the Serbian majority of that region had begun.
