Steen Ammentorp
Does anybody have the full name of British Brigadier N.R. Campbell, CO 157th Brigade 17.07.1936-23.04.1940 and former CO of 5th Battalion The Highland Light Infantry.
Steen Ammentorp
After some searching in The Times archive I found him Norman Robertson Campbell. He died on 3rd January 1950. I would however still be interested in additional information on him.

Steen Ammentorp
Thanks,I should have mentioned that I have already searched the London Gazettes, which however has very difficult to use since they changed the search-string from being a default phrase to using a default Boolean AND. It is okay to make a search for Norman Robertson Campbell as the probability of them all being on the same pages is limited. However searching for him by using his initials N.R. Campbell is completely impossible giving 2026 hits in the WW2 records alone and sadly most entries for the military personnel in Gazettes is using initials only.
