Interresting photo of Hauptmann Heimann

Hi everybody,

I have got an interresting photo of Hauptmann Gustav Heimann of F.A.R. Nr. 44. I can't find what is the item near binocular. It's not the lugar pounch. If someone can help me. I will try to have a better scan of this item.
