Nick Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Another recent purchase. RAD style civilian membership pin for Arbeitsgruppen 87
Scowen Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Another nice find. I would guess that these can be found with a variety of nubers on them for various gruppen, however I've only seen the 87 so far. Of course, as they are not RAJD marked it could be that they were unofficially locally made close to where the 87th were based & not produced for the other gruppen......A nice find either way.CheersDon
Nick Posted June 29, 2007 Author Posted June 29, 2007 Cheers DonHere is another similar type, but I guess for the FAD as opposed to the RAD.
--dj--Joe Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Nice items both! I don't know where you Gents. find these interesting pieces. I am in a collective freeze, have not located a thing for months.Congratulations, a first time chance for me to see either of these interesting pins.--dj--Joe
Nick Posted July 1, 2007 Author Posted July 1, 2007 I am lucky enough to regularily get to Germany a couple of times a year. Thats where my best buys come from. Apart from some of the goodies I have picked up here through GMIC.
Scowen Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Same here, regular trips to M?nchen, lots of time trawling the net. I'm also lucky in that I am often contacted by other collectors if they have something that they think I'll be interested in (which I always am )CheersDon
clan01 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Hi, Greetings from Germany,I'm new in the forum, but known in Germany as a specialist for Reichsarbeitsdienst. The shown pins are only unofficially locally made - I name this "Reservistika".The Group 87 exist in Arbeitsgau VIII from 1933 - 1937.They are rare. But I know only this pin from 87 - I haben't seen other pins like this in my 20 year collecting German Labour Service. But there are other locally pins in different forms. All finds are chances.Michael Jonas
