Gents I am not in the habit of acquiring an award I have never seen before but I couldn't resist the enamel work and craftmanship of this piece. Unfortunately, I imagine like yourself, I've only familiar with this badge from H?sken's unknown section (Page 364 Tafel 21). I've seen it offered occasionally but never had the opertunity to hold one yet. They appear well made, how does it feel to you? Is it heavy?

For what it's worth, I like the look of yours, it's well designed & made.

Thanks Gents Yes, it is quite heavy and does not have the dreaded crimped vertical pin plate like the M1/34 Frauenschafts we see out there. If memory serves, Thuringia had one of the highest if not the highest majority in voting for National Socialism and had a very high percentage of the population in the NSDAP. Its a keeper for me and will be resting next to my Saarfalz badge as they are similar in shape and size. Robert
