Guys, you maybe surprised to know that, of all the Lynch Dollars, currently for sale on Ebay as buy now for $99, none have been sold, and of the numerous ones up for bid, the highest price offered has been $33, with the reserve not being met.

DS Adrian Pragnall of Hampshire & PC John Yore of Cambridgeshire Constabulary were OSCE instructors at a police academy in Kosovo when they went over into Montenegro from Kosovo in August 2000 with a couple of Canadian civilians, Shaun Going & Liam Hall. They had'nt gone through the proper channels to get the leave authorised, it would appear. I returned to UK from the UN IPTF mission in Bosnia a few months before, some UN cops from various parts of the world who I worked with in Banja Luka were nipping down to Montenegro on leave, but it did'nt seem a good idea to me for Brits or Americans in particular to go there given the possibility of being lifted to be used as a pawn in political games so I kept well away.

After release, DS Pragnall commented that the Serb police had "an interesting interview technique", a reference to

being beaten during interview.

As far as I'm aware the Brits & Canadians involved were not awarded medals for their involvement in this incident. I can't think of a reason why they should have been, unless there was something missing from the media reports of the time.

Had a little surf on Ebay, just out of morbid curiosity, and it seems that the Jessica Lynch eagles don`t seem to be commanding the same amounts as they once did?

I wonder did they continue to churn these things out, once it came to light that the whole story was a fraud? Whats the latest date available?

I picked up one of these for $30, but I`ve seen them go for a cheap as $20. Granted for the 2003 type, which I believe there are proported to be somewhere between 5000 & 10000!! Thats a lot of signing. The 2004 type theres something like 500, but I don`t know what connection Lynch had with 2004 :unsure:
