Bill Garvy
What do you gentlemen think of this unmarked 1914 Iron Cross in 1st Class? It appears to have been manufactured during World War II judging by the shape, pin, hinge, and clasp configuration. Your valuable input is solicited. . . George Stimson
Bill, I have one exactly like it that I got from Detlev. He attributed it to B. H. Mayer, and I tend to agree with him.

Bill Garvy
Thank you, gentlemen! It really lacks the "bulkiness", for lack of a better word, of a Deschler.
