I dont know if this is even slightly possible, but is there data available to look up the dates when persons got their FLE?

If so, I would be very interested in knowing how and where

Maybe this won't exactly answer your question, but...

This website of the French Centre Historique des Archives Nationales displays the Leonore database.

The Leonore database includes 213 372 names / files of knights of the L?gion d'Honneur, from the creation of the Order in 1802 to 1954 (date of their death).
