Taz Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 (edited) Medalla "Combatiente de la Producci?n y la Defensa" Taz, can you add any details from the decree? This is what I have at the moment RickMedalla "Combatiente de la Producci?n y la Defensa" 1) Awarded in recognition to the maintained exemplary attitude and the results of "good" reached in the activities for the preparation and combat readiness, in the interest of the troops and forces or elements of the territorial defense in its control within the framework of his territory, which has helped notablely in the development and fortification of the defense capabilities of our country in the last three training years.2) Awarded in recognition of exemplary attitude in the Revolutionary Armed Forces and consequent military service for more than 20 years, dedicated to the defense of our Socialist Mother country and its territorial integrity and in occasion when needed to carry out other tasks and functions that the Revolution assigns to them.If I remember correctly these were two awardings recorded in the Gaceta Official and very likely that the critaria from the Decreto ley is included. I'm waiting for the second translated installment as we speak.Regards Eddie. Edited December 8, 2007 by Taz
Guest Rick Research Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 Just got this one boxed with ribbon bar today:
Taz Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Very nice! This is an award not included in the original Decreto Ley #30, because it was it was instituted in the 80's.So we don't really have a lot of information on it right now with regards to the award critaria. The Brigades of Production and Defense [brigadas de Producci?n y Defensa] constitute an armed organization which arranges the Defense council of the Zone. It develops the participation of citizens in two basic tasks during exceptional situations, production and defense. In addition they fulfill measures of civil defense and internal security procedures. The Brigades of Production and Defense are created in time of peace at work centers and in the places of residence of the population. They are created from the citizens who voluntarily express their desires to participate in the activities of production and defense during exceptional situations and that for different reasons do not belong to the regular troops (FAR), to the Military services of Territorial Troops (MTT), the organs and units of the Department of the Interior (MININT) or to the organs of work of the Defense councils. Over 3.5 million citizens are members of more than 60,000 Brigades of Production and Defense.Regards Eddie.
