the last page is the most interesting. There is said, that " this is your most important document..."

In GDR times this was true because a passport was not needed exept you wanted to leave the country which was not so easy.

Don`t be surprised. Nobody wants others to know that he was a party member. During DDR times you had to be a member of the party when you wanted to have success. Studying at a university was nearly impossible without the little red book.There is a reason why it is said "this is your most important document". Unfortunately I have problems to post pictures. So I cannot show you the other party documents like application form etc.
