I have recently found about Wehrmacht POLITICAL COMMISSARS - Technically not Commissars but late in the war, the German High Command saw the introduction of the NSFO - basically a political guidance officer ensuring political adhereance and loyalty to the war effort. The NSFO was naturally disliked and served much like a Soviet Commissar or POLITICAL OFFICER. I would like to ask the forum if any learned friends could indicate to me if this NSFO organisation had any distinguishing items of regalia or insignia of any kind to show this authority?Looking forward to any help in this regard!Drew Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
