norwest78 Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 (edited) "Honor Plaque for Outstanding Technical Achievements in the Southeast Command of the Luftwaffe"Thanks to Stijn David, I was able to identify this plaque and subsequently purchase it. Non-portable award in the shape of a shield. Greece and the Balkans are in the background. Heavy, non-magnetic metal construction. Very attractive piece, IMO.If anybody has seen a case for this award, please post it!Regards,Kevin Edited January 6, 2008 by norwest78
J Temple-West Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Hi KevinHere's one by "Brehmer" currently for sale by Helmut Weitze.
J Temple-West Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 I presume lid of the interior houses the 'urkunde'
norwest78 Posted January 6, 2008 Author Posted January 6, 2008 Thank you, John. I had searched there under "honor plaque," but not every item has English keywords. Looks like there were different makers of these. I wonder if mine has lost its bronzing, or was simply not done that way. There is no hint that it was ever bronzed. --Kevin
