Christian J Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) What is the consensus of the pickelhaube that went on ebay some weeks ago.Third one i've seen in my little collecting carrer.Seems there is a name in the rear rim? Harald Olberg. The forename being a usual name in Sweden. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=350008182847(Missed out on a pk with our old swedish Queen dressed up in full the uniform of a Honor Colonel. Didn't save the picture otherwise i could've showed this impressive sanke.) Edited January 8, 2008 by RaZpuTiN
joerookery Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 it is really important in these helmets to look at the back of the Wappen. There is no picture in the eBay advertisement of the back of that plate. It seems as though the screws that extend through the shell are too thin for originals. So very hard to tell with just these pictures. I hope this helps.
Henry 24th Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I will confirm with a museum here in town, but I believe they have one as well from this regt. that belonged to a well known painter. The helmet, paintings and other items came directly from the painters family.I will get the information to you within the week.Regards...Henry
Christian J Posted January 22, 2008 Author Posted January 22, 2008 Thanks for replying. Joe, I see. I've sent an messesage to the seller asking for pictures of the back. Though I will not get my hopes up as it is sadly already sold.Sounds very interesting Henry, awaiting yor post with excitment.I'm quite intrested with anything releated to this regiment, with it's connection to Sweden. Pommern being a old Swedish province.
Christian J Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 (edited) The same uniform the queen is wearing on the pk.It is in the royal swedish royal collection, under an exhibit in 2000. Edited March 6, 2008 by RaZpuTiN
