gingerbread Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 (edited) I just succeed to buy a reefer jacket wich belonged to the lieutenant Wilhelm Petersen.Petersen was the U357 engineer officer and was KIA the december 26th 1942.According the "report of interrogation of survivor from the U357" (WWW.uboatarchive.net), Petersen was promoted from the lower deck.Do you know if is it possible to have more information about him? His career in the navy before the war and during the war? Petersen won the iron cross second class. Is it possible to find a picture from his officer naval school promotion?RegardsBen from Lorient Edited January 15, 2008 by gingerbread

Guest Rick Research Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Ah, OK-- he must have been commissioned during the war, then. I couldn't find him in the January 1939 Kriegsmarine Birthday List.I have a gap between then and 1944's Seniority List.
