Ed_Haynes Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) The more I stray beyond medals and into other (lesser) militaria and such, the more confused I become. Here, for the record are some recently received Mongolian belts. While information has been requested from friends, I am clueless at present. The second one is dark blue and yellow, the third is dark green and yellow. Edited January 29, 2008 by Ed_Haynes
Ed_Haynes Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 As information comes in . . . watch this space . . . .
Tsend Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Buckle of the officers belt of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Army. The buckle has been in use from early 1930s to 1940. There is 1924 type Coat of Arms (Soyombo) in the center of the buckle. Very rare.
Tsend Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) Photo of Corps Commander Jamyan Lhagvasuren and Division Commander Tsend taken at Khalkhin Gol front line in August 1939. Lhagvasuren is wearing the belt with the identical buckle shown previously. Edited April 19, 2012 by Tsend
Tsend Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Another better detailed photo of a Mongolian Ministry of Interior officer wearing the same belt.
rathbonemuseum Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Ed, I realize this is a post to an old thread but I would think the color belts are corps colored belts for parade. Have you found any other info or pictures?
