Heer TRIPLE Decal Helmet

Attached are pics of my triple decal Heer/Kreigsmarine helmet...

Any info or comments are welcome!!

Also, if there are any simular helmets out there... please post them as well!

How common are these and how desireable are they?

I am sorry that they are so blurry... I have not mastered the art of balancing the flash while being close enough to get the details

Please notice that the underlying eagle appears a lot more golden in color than in the pic... I think that the flash greatly distorted the color.

The Tri Sheild is present due to wear of paint that covered it...

Hi Paul,

this seems to be an interesting helmet. I really would love to see more shots. Unfortunately your pictures aren?t that good. Don?t use a direct flash. Best results you?ll have outside during sunshine in the shadow imo. Could you please post also pics from the liner, please ? Genuine triple decal helmets are rare as snow in hell and of course desirable for collectors.

Hi Paul,

from where I sit it looks like a reissued M35 helmet.

It could be a former KM helmet as you stated, but I?m not sure. The Heer eagle looks good to me. I can?t figure out from the photos whether the first decal is KM or not. I post a Heer eagle and KM eagle of my collection here to compare. A KM eagle has to have a deep golden tone. The maker stamp has to be on the right inside near the D rings. From the pics it could be an ET 64 or 66 ???

I believe that your helmet was reissued in 1940. The germans put a textured camo on it with a new eagle decal sitting atop of the camo. After decades the camo had partly gone and the first eagle reappeared. Just my 2 cents.

The helmet would normally be referred to as a reissued double decal, not normally a triple decal. Nice helmet though, good combat used piece. I'd say it's a toned heer rather than KM, but better pics would help! I like it...
