gregM Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 (edited) Very, Very BAD fake !!!!!!!!!!This style of 1870 can be found on ebay in several different configurations.Usually as a pin back marked Deschler and son. However it can be found withdifferent makers marks. This particular cross jumps out as fake right away because it is a screwback. As far as I know there are NO 1870 Ek1 screwback crosses. Next --If you look at the screwback itself, it is RZM stamped. There are no screwbacks (even in 1939)marked "RZM" Even in pin back form these fakes are easy to spot by the style of the numbers in the 1870 date. Edited March 5, 2008 by gregM
hipnos Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 Very, Very BAD fake !!!!!!!!!!Thanks, Quick answer. She looks strange, but I?ve not much experience with this crosses...on the fake?s side.Miguel
Motorhead Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 This cross is simply crap! And not only because it's a '70 screwback.......screwback....remember the DN update a while ago with the few '70 1st classes? The screwback that was sold that day is another one I don't want to have in my collection!Micha
