Here is a grouping of Iraqi Militaria I just bought:

I Bought this set of Iraqi Militaria the other day for a good price about $40.00. It is a picture of an Iraqi Officer sitting down at his desk, behind him a Poster of Saddam wearing his medals.

The Medal is the Iraq Iran War Bravery Medal/Nut al Shujat: Manufactured by Assmann.

The officer in the picture is wearing Iraqi Colonel shoulder boards.(Aqid). With the Red War College stripe:

THAT is certainly an unexpected maker's mark to find! Assmann's "protractor A" is familiar on Third Reich insignia and awards! I knew they kept using it under the Bundesrepublik, but didn't know that they even MADE foreign post-WW2 awards!

I had no idea that they made foreign decorations as well. I wonder if they maintained their signature level of quality over the years?

Actually, Rick, Assmann made serveral of the Iraqi medals.
