I just received these Naval shoulderboards. I need to know the era and type of boards for some. First up, a narrow board for shirts.

Next, a five sided Petty officer and 4-sided Sailor's boards. What era would these be?

What button would be used for the 5-sided board?

Finally, A Sr. Officer's board (Gold with black stripes). What era? Also, for all of the officer's boards are gold stars used?

The cream colored shirt boards often have a maker mark and date pressed into yellow plastic on the underside.

The enlisted straps have the molded rubberized letters used from about 1969 on.

The officer boards are all fairly recent, unissued, and no way to date beyond probably 1980s.

BTW, you forgot to scan sideways, so the bullion braid came out looking like shredded wheat! :P

What is this white Jr. officer's board?

What are the white boards (Jr. Officer) and what color rank stars go on them? :speechless: Are they for the white uniform? :(

    Very confused,

Shoulder board for junior officer for cream shirt. 1970-80th.

Button is not correct. This button is for Navy admirals and generals.
