He's a Bavarian Flieger officer. Unit is impossible to tell without the presence of a field formations sleeve patch. He is wearing a Kleiner Rock with the Bavarian blue/silver Hoheitsborte on the collar.

He's got himself a VERY odd Fashion Satement here with the back ends of his collar patchs rounded to the button shape-- that may ID him in a future group photo with names.

Collar patch SHOULD look like:

Lt dR Theo Wittmann here ALSO has a Weird Personal Fashion Statement, running his Bavarian collar border around the bottom but not front of his collar!
