They left the 3rd ID in december 1916... "251 divisions" has them leaving for Courland... but then lists them with the 3rd RD on the Western front. When DID they arrive at the 3RD? Did they do a short stop in Kurland before heading west?

    Thanks

I have no answer to your question, having tried to find their Regimentsgeschichte at a decent price for a time, but is wondering if this will be another one of your write-ups?

As i have some interest in them myself.

What is the guys name, any info on battalion, further dates? The book is quite extensive with fallen soldiers and in some degree awards, so might be possible to find some info on him.

    Best Regards,

Seems he survived the war and were not captured, as he was not on the list of those. Could not find any awards given during the last months of 1916. The only ones listed are those of the high officers.

    Sorry.

Reserve-Infanterie-Brigade from 2 to 5 January 1917, the Generalkommando z.b.V. 60 from 6 January to 4 April 1917 and with 77- Reserve-Division from 5 April to 2 May 1917.
