CRBeery Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Here is a group of photos that may be of a man named Eastman. I would guess Harold E. Eastman. His number was 31277011. I think these are of a night recon plane crew.
CRBeery Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 The footlocker is where I got the name from.
CRBeery Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 Finally, I believe these are of Jimmy Dolittle. They have the same stamp on the back.
CRBeery Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 If anyone can add any information I would appreciate it.Thanks,Chet
Snoopy Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Hello ChetInteresting pictures. Some of the pictures might possibly be from the 653rd Bomb Sqdn (Light), based at Watton, Norfolk. They used De Havilland Mosquito PR XVI, for weather recce and visual coverage of target strikes. What makes me think about this squadron, is the last photo, that shows a Mosquito. These aircraft where painted in overall PRU blue, that might possibly appear darker, on period pictures. All the bestSnoopy
