I. Brief description of personal feat or merits

During the forced crossing of the Dniester River on the night of the 13-14.04.44 assistant platoon commander Senior Sergeant Shcherbakov, was first with his platoon to cross the right bank of the river and captured 54 armed Romanian soldiers and a heavy machine gun.On 15.04.44 in the village of Karkmaya Comrade Shcherbakov led the platoon in an attack himself as an example of steadfastness and courage. In this battle Comrade Shcherbakov personally killed 3 enemy soldiers.

He was robbed! This appears to be another case where the Comrade's rank limited the reward he received, since being first in crossing rivers under opposition and capturing superior numbers of the enemy would have gotten an OFFICER Comrade something with lots of nice enamel.
