Paul C Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Two identical cases made by the same case manafactured Eisenberger Etuisfabrik of Eisenberg, I believe in Saxony. From the outside they are the same.
Paul C Posted October 19, 2005 Author Posted October 19, 2005 (edited) Ah, But once we open each of them we see the difference.[attachmentid=13515]One houses a single 1914 EK2 with a very long ribbon and the other houses the 1914 EK2, Ek1, Hindenburg and Bayern MVO with swords. The manufacture made a standard shell and allowed for a custom insert. I have also seen this case with pilot badges. Edited October 19, 2005 by Paul Chepurko
Stogieman Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 What's on the plate with the solo EK2 Paul? Agree, the maker should be in Saxony if memory serves tonight.
Paul C Posted October 19, 2005 Author Posted October 19, 2005 The plate has the name A. Schreyec(h or k) engraved on it. Now if anyone comes up with any information on the guy I will be very, very impressed!
Daniel Murphy Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Paul, If you ever decide to part with the single EK one, I would appreciate your letting me know. I have been looking for one of these ever since my best friend got one. Super nice case, thanks for sharing.Dan Murphy
Paul C Posted October 19, 2005 Author Posted October 19, 2005 Dan, This case is hard to find. I have one seen one or two others for sale. If I do sell I will let you know.
