Can anyone Id this man?

Is he a general or a major? I can't tell if his tab has scarlet/red cloth behind the borte.

A generalmajor wearing a leopold knightscross and an Iron Crown Order 3rd Class. It seems that kleindekorationen, which indicate higher classes of this orders, are fixed on the trifold ribbons. The picture dates from 1917/18

:Cat-Scratch: He is REALLY well decorated-- with the right references, surely identifiable from Commander grades of both Orders (and that Leopold would be a remarkable reward for something major, given as they were for the successful defense or capture of a fortress--or the equivalent) AND the Prussian Iron Cross 1st Class.

I have always admired the Austro-Hungarian understatement of Kleindekoration awards wear. Only three awards being worn-- but exceptional awards indeed for a brigade or division commander. :jumping:
