Hello,

does anybody know anything about what the barische Sturmbataillion 15 did in October and early November 1918?

Is there any litarature in this time period?

My grandfather participated in this batallion. He writes in his diary:

1. Okt. 18 Eine Nacht (night) in Stra?burg auf m. Geburtstag (birthday).

2. Saarburg

Bay. SturmBat<ail>l<o>n. 15 d. Feldpost 128. Wohnung (appartment) Vorstadt (suburb) 40 (Ms. Honpert). Familien Wei? u. Gille.

17. Unternehmung (engagement) bei Markach E. K. II (iron cross)

21. Zabern, Hofbarr, Pfalzburg, Vogesen, Kanal.

2. Nov. Noch einmal in Stra?burg.

9. Nov. Revolution

I think they spent the whole war in the Vogesen.

Unfortunately as with many units that size, there is little specific info to find.
