Kriegsmarine Schwerin U-boat badge

Hello Everyone

I have had this badge a few years and I bought it on the understanding that the hook had

been replaced.From the image below can anybody confirm this or do they have any other ideas.

The hook is made from round stock and is soldered onto a small plate before being applied to the badge

Its certainly not the regular Schwerin hook for a Tombak badge. Both round wire and flat wire retaining clips are soldered directly to the back of the badge, so if this is a genuine badge it must indeed have been repaired.
