dante Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I have been offered a steel EKI, I have checked all the books and it makes no reference to "Steel" being used in the making of Iron Crosses......sorry no photos yet....welcome your thoughts
Eric Stahlhut Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 not enough info. perhaps the seller is referring to the core. some crosses had a thinly stamped steel core.

dante Posted August 16, 2008 Author Posted August 16, 2008 3Rick has possibly identified him as Rittmeister der Reserve (in 1914 living in Detmold, Lippe) Freiherr von Blomberg (whose first name MAY have been Moritz, with estate in nearby Iggenhausen, Westphalia) who already had an LD1-- in K?rassier Regiment 4
