    Hello Gents,

I was wondering if there has ever been a thread started where we all got to gether and compiled a list of the different Honour cross maker marks?

Or does anyone know if there is a list of Known makers?

I have several Intersting maker marked medals and wondered about the manufacturers and where they were in germany and what,( if possible) were the numbers of these that were produced.

    Regards

    Paul

    A good collecting field indeed....

and as I have always said... the award docs for these... BORING... but everyone seems to overlook the fact that most of the sigantures comefrom party officials, Allgemeine SS, higher police officers etc. etc. etc.

THAT would also be worth a study on its own...

    My contribution

    1 x Erbe

    1 x K M F

    1 x Ab.B L

    1 x W ( then a big 'D' with inscription inside) D

    3 x G10

    1 x G12

1 x W&L M. ( this one is without swords for an engineer)

I have a list on file, it is quite possibly the old one from WAF which I'm proud to say I managed to add to with a couple of mine.

Don't forget to mention any of the insanely rare actual bronze ones rather than bronzed steel. Talk about hen's teeth variants! I think Godet was the only one to turn up with Real Bronzes, though they also made the usual bronzed steel ones.
