Chris Boonzaier Posted December 5, 2008 Author Posted December 5, 2008 Hi,no, just Alfons :-(I DO know his brothers were named Oskar and Alois ;-)Is signed"My brothers Oskar, Alois, from your brother Alfons"And that is all :-(
Schießplatzmeister Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Hello again Chris:Since "Alfons" is a rather common name, I am certain that there are probably a good many Gold and Silver medal recipients with this first name. A list could certainly be made-up with a bit of work, but without a last name, a unit, or a home-town, we will probably never be certain who this fellow is."SPM"
Guest Rick Research Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 His shoulder strap WOULD have to be wrinkled up just where whatever is on there is. Can you make it out any better live? That's your best hope.I "see" what looks like the aviation winged propeller and maybe a "1" below-- that would bear out the unpiped strap itself though he's not wearing collar Litzen. Or there's just a scratch there. You've got the "Goldenes Buch" right?
