Given to young Cuban youngsters in recognition of extraordinary merits reached in study and had kept a matching attitude with revolutionary principles.

Also, in exceptional cases, can be awarded to other Cuban or foreign citizens for the same reasons or for having contributed in a significant way to the integral education of the young generations.
