Kvart Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I have this photo of a nice Norwegian group belonging to Sverre Erlandsen. From left to right: 1. Participation medal (Norway)2. Home guard merit medal (Norway)3. Army conscript service medal with three stars (Norway)4. ...5. Military good shoting medal with rosette (Norway)6. ...I cannot ID medal 4 and 6. I know Erlandsen was awarded a Danish Home guard merit medal, maybe the "Hjemmev?rnets Fortjensttegn". Could this be number 4? But what about number 6? I think it looks Danish too. Looks like there is some kind of head appearing on number 6, facing right. I'm very sorry for the blurry picture. But does anyone have any thoughts about this?
Great Dane Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Yes, no. 4 is definitely the Danish Home Guard Merit medal ("Hjemmev?rnets Fortjensttegn").No. 6 is really hard to see - if the red stripes don't go all the way to the left/right edges it is probably not danish./Mike
