waffen SS double decal helmet ?

Hello all ,

I work with a man at work who's father just passed away and he gave me this helmet today . The man's father was a WWII vet and this was hanging in his attic by it's leather chin strap since 1945 ! This helmet looks completely untouched to me as all the leather is very dry and brittle , nothing is new and fresh on this helmet ! To me this looks like an M42 double decal Waffen SS helmet , as I am a Kriesmarne collector I would like your opinions on this helmet .

Can't speak about the authenticity of the helmet decals, but to me it appears it's a DD Polizei rather than SS?
