AlikN
Here is 1870 ek-2 that I have a chance to get,...is this one of those late 1900's production ? .... replacements ?...looks like the ring was marked KO ... and someone was trying to take the mm off ...???there are file marks and mm is almost gone. What would be a fair price for one in this condition?ThanksAlik

Mike K
Hi Alik,I'd suggest looking at the seams/edges of this example VERY carefully. The frames look beaten up and the core does not appear to fit properly.RegardsMike
Biro
Back away slowly..... then run.A known fake.
AlikN
The frame is very beaten up, but the seams looks untouched with nice patina and without splits.

gregM
This cross is a known FAKE. The easiest way to spot it is to look at the bottom rim (sweatband)of the crown. In all cases it is off center to the right of the of the rest of the crown. These things pop up from time to time on ebay. I'll check when I get home.RegardsMike
