JBFloyd Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Any info on Major Konno Schruff (received an EKI in August 1915) would be appreciated.
Glenn J Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Jeff, the only Schruff in the Prussian Army was one Anton Rudolf Schruff, an Hauptmann on the staff of Badisches Fu?artillerie-Regiment Nr. 14 in 1914 and then the Artillerie-Offizier vom Platz at Coblenz. Promoted to Major on 27.1.15 and eventually commander of Reserve-Fu?artillerie-Regiment Nr. 15. presumably your man?RegardsGlenn

JBFloyd Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 Unfortunately, I only have his engraved EKI.
Ulsterman Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Ex-Seymour collection? I have Seymours' old history of the 14th Baden art. book (obtained from you Jeff) and I note he asterisked the name.
JBFloyd Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 No info on provenance of the piece, unfortunately, but I'll have to check the Thiess catalog.
