Kris D Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) Amazing detail, really impressive paint jobs. How long on average to produce a single figure? Edited May 14, 2009 by Kris D
peter monahan Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Amazing detail, really impressive paint jobs. How long on average to produce a single figure?Yes, lovely lovely work! You have great talent in this field. I too am interested in the time investment. Curiosity, not any intention to copy yr work - I know my limits.Peter
Ulsterman Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 That is amazing! The painting work is superb. Oil based?Do you belong to the BMSS? You should enter these in the Wembley Competition. The Stauffenb. is my favorite.
ColinRF Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 A flurry of nice comments - many thanks. The figures take a long time but vary depending on scale and subject. For a 1/48th mounted figure I would say about 12 hours to sculpt and as many to paint. My large Ney portrait would have taken about 40 hours to sculpt and 20 to paint. But that's actual, not lapsed time.I paint in oils or acrylics based on my mood.I'm not a member of any modelling clubs. I used to belong to the Ontario Model Soldier Society, a Cdn affiliate of the BMSS. No longer. Thanks again.Colin
Guest IMHF Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 BEAUTIFUL Great work love the detail in all the figures.Lorenzo
