Wasserfall, Otto, born 1869, died 1959, in 1914 Maj Adj XV.AK, Oberst aD Cdr IR 31,

Had a Red Eagle 4 peacetime and added a Hohenzolern knight with swords in WW1, along with a couple of other Awards from W?rttemberg and Lippe.

Yes, ALWAYS, please! And show us what you've GOT, too! This "internet thing" is VERY "visual" otherwise this is like watching a radio.

It is possibly not obvious to people who are NOT in the Guild Of Research Gnomes, but there is no such thing as One Source to go find everything about somebody. Rank Lists are ANNUAL and have to be consulted one by one backwards and forwards. Awards lists are all independent of each other (except for the wonderously combined Triple Ernestine Duchies 1914-1918 by Lundstr?m & Krause ) and biographical data is also scattered about in all sorts of sources.

As Mere Mortals, it takes CONSIDERABLE time as well as effort to DO this, so a nice neat Everything In One Reply is NOT as simple OR as "easy" as it appears.

I advise EVERYONE who makes this sort of post to first provide everything that you ALREADY know (I do not like wasted time typing. At all.) AND show or TELL us WHY you want to know--------->

MOTIVATE us to CARE.

SOME people here apparently want somebody else (us ) to spend mind boggling amounts of time handing over data on a platter

some of you (and you know who you are) apparently for the entire German officers corps, 1 at a time

for "secret" reasons (or, we suspect... idle curiosity) that--

frankly--

are of no concern at all to VERY BUSY Research Gnomes.

So while it is jolly nice to have hours of work produced (by somebody else) on simple request...

there aren't enough hours in MY day-- and Daniel is a sleepless zombie as is ( ) so

if you cannot engage our curiosity and "make" us WANT to be the Unpaid Encyclopedia Online...

we have other things to do a lot of the time.

SHOW us!
