    There are several places by the name of Osterfeld in Germany, I believe the abbreviation following the word Osterfeld is to specify which Osterfeld in Germany Richter is from.

    Yes, that is a big help :jumping:Osterfeld in Westfalen (the writting on the back was done after 1919)

    Hello gentlemen. Osterfeld now is a part of the town Oberhausen (north of D?sseldorf). The photo was taken in Borbeck (now a part of my hometown Essen - 10km from Oberhausen)
