I. Brief description of personal feat

In the battles in the north of Vaynode on 28.10.44 when the enemy attacked our rifle unit?s weapons where Guards Sergeant Karyagin was the gun-layer of a fire defensive position, he was under a hurricane of artillery mortar fire of the enemy.

In this battle gun-layer Comrade Karaygin acted bravely and courageously. He led the destructing fire upon the enemy despite its strong firing. In this battle he destroyed two 105mm guns, hit one tank and neutralized up to 20 German soldiers. He is brave and courageous in combat and deserves the governmental award order of the ?Red Star?.
