He died 07 September 1967 in Badenweiler.

His WWI awards: both Iron Crosses, wound badge (black) and the Schwarzburgische Ehrenkreuz mit Schwertern 3rd class.

Dear Naxos,

I think your informations are wrong.

Kreipe born in 12/April/1904. at the end of WW1 he was only 14 years.

He entered in the Army in 1922 as Fahnenjunker and Battery-Officer in the 6th Artillery-Regiment.

he not received the 1914 iron crosses, wound badge and the Schwarzburgische Ehrenkreuz.

you must be doing confusion with another officer.

Sorry, wrong Kreipe (perhaps his brother). In 1928, while Werner Kreipe served as a Leutnant in Artillerie Rgt. 6, the Kreipe I thought was him served as Oberleutnant in Infanterie Rgt.15.
