Hinrik Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Hi Richard,I am calling a U-boat Vet tomorrow. I will ask him.RegardsHinrik
Hinrik Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I called the old man. He was serving very late in the war. Was on U-27 and U-96 after it had been made a training boat. He does not remember what this was, but did say that when they went out on combat mission they would take some of there personal belongings and seal them in a Zee-sach that would be left in the base of departure.Guess we need to look into this further. hinrik
