Rodion Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Hello Gentlemen,A few weeks ago I ordered, a research for an ORB awarded for the 50th birthday of the Revolution ?
Rodion Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 I received 5 service records but infortunatly no information about this ORB, except the same last name, name and patrionymic.Starting the translation, I discovered an amazing career !Born in 1897In the "old" army : from may 1916 to january 1918 starshii unter ofitser (in english senior NCO or warrant officer ?) in the Guard PAVLOSKY regiment !
Rodion Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 In the red army during the civil war from 1919 to 1922 :KursantPlatoon commander in the 53th infantry regimentCompany commanderZAVKHOZKOM ??Deputy battalion commanderBattalion commanderDeputy commander of the 20th turkestan infantry regimentA tipicaly revolutionary career, he had 25 years old !
Rodion Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Then he moved to the reserveDuring the GPW : 1941-1942 : intendant third rank, deputy chief then chief of the 5th section of the 270th infantry division, southern front1942- 1945 help please for the translation1950 : senior lieutenant of the admninistrative serviceHe finished the war without award !
Rodion Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 So, what is your feeling gentlemen, the Kliuchko who was awarded an ORB in 1967 could be the same guy, participant in the civil war, in the GPW, but according to the service records never got an order or medal !?What were the rules of attribution of the ORB for the 50th birthday of the revolution ?How many ORB were awarded for this event ?Best regardsRodion
Guest Rick Research Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 1922 Zavkhozkom = he was the regiment's chief of supplies and rations then-- their quartermastter.1942-45 from the dates shown "found himself in captivity in Germany." That is repeated in the infamous Box 11 of his service record below.
Rodion Posted April 26, 2009 Author Posted April 26, 2009 Thanks a lot Rick !You bring an important key to understand why he didn't get award during the GPW.
